The hirer is responsible for the first AU$2,000 if over 24 years or A$2,500 if under 24 years, of the cost of the damage to the third party property or rented vehicle. The excess can be reduced by the purchase of Excess Reduction Options (see below and please add on A$500 to max excess liability if under 24).
